Greaves world record set to be denied by IPC

April 3 - Athens 2004 Paralympic gold medallist Danny Greaves (pictured) sent an ominous warning to his rivals as he threw a lifetime best and unofficial world record of 56.50 metres in the F44 discuss at the Wexiö Indoor Throwing meeting in Växjö, Sweden.




Double world record at British Championships

April 2 - A sell-out crowd at the British Gas Swimming Championships at Ponds Forge in Sheffield tonight witnessed two Paralympic world records fall in the same race as Jonathan Fox and James Crisp (pictured) both produced blistering times in the final of the men’s MD 100 metres backstroke.


Wright clinches Finn gold in Palma

April 2 - Ed Wright (pictured) bagged Britain’s only gold on the final day of the ISAF Sailing World Cup event in Palma, with British sailors picking up a total of five medals from the opening leg of the European regatta today.






Annecy launch Club 2018 to back Olympic bid

April 2 - More than 1,200 chief executives from local companies attended the launch of Club 2018, a new initiative for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in France to back Annecy's bid to host the Olympics and Paralympics at an event attended by Roselyne Bachelot, France's Minister of Health and Sports.
