USOC Board should be increased says new report

March 26 - An advisory panel set-up by the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) has recommended expanding the Board of Directors from 11 to 15 and also scrapping the post of first vice president international, giving that responsibility to new chief executive Scott Blackmun (pictured).




British Swimming to stage another Duel in the Pool

March 26 - British Swimming have announced that this year's British Open Championships, scheduled for July, have been cancelled because following the success of the Manchester Duel in the Pool event last December, which featured American superstar Michael Phelps (pictured), they have decided to focus its financial resources on staging a similar event in 2010.








British broadcaster promises best-ever coverage of Commonwealth Games

March 25 - Satellite Information Services' (SIS) Live has promised the best-ever coverage of this year's Commonwealth Games in New Delhi after awarding a key and exclusive contract for broadcast services, including technical equipment and diversified production and Coverage services event to South East Asia's largest broadcast services company, Zoom Communications Ltd.
