London 2012 ticketing process opens

March 22 - Paul Deighton, chief executive of London 2012, said today that the registration scheme set up as the first step for would-be spectators at the Olympics and Paralympics had had 40,000 hits in the first four hours.

March 22 - Richard Adam (pictured), the joint managing director of Munich's bid to host the 2018 Olympics and Paralympics, has left the organisation after it was claimed that he had been sacked because of a personality clash with chief executive Willy Bogner.


D-Day for Greenwich Park decision

March 21 - Sir Philip Craven tonight declared Vancouver 2010 the "best-ever Winter Paralympic Games" as he brought the curtain down on an event that has inspired, enthralled and surprised in equal measure at a Closing Ceremony that was a fitting finale even though the rain did make it something of a test of endurance at times.


Dame Kelly insists England will be in no danger in Delhi
