Badminton officials to visit London to discuss Wembley row

January 18 - Thomas Lund (pictured), the chief operating officer of the Badminton World Federation (BWF), today revealed that he is due to fly to London later this month to try to sort out the venue for his sport at the 2012 Olympics as they continue to resist attempts to make them move to Wembley Arena.





British show jumping manager sacked

January 18 -  British show jumping squad performance manager Derek Ricketts (pictured) has been sacked following the team's "disappointing" results last year and his job has been advertised with the sport looking for a candidate to lead the team through to the London 2012 Olympics.

Dream debut for Team Sky in Australia

January 17 - Team Sky enjoyed a sensational first day as a professional team with its riders, led by New Zealander Greg Henderson, finishing first and second on their professional debut today in a street race in Adelaide ahead of the Tour Down Under.
