London 2012 should give Annecy Olympic bid hope, claims Rogge

June 30 - London's successful bid to host the 2012 Olympics and Paralympics should give Annecy hope that their campaign to host the 2018 Winter Games can still succeed despite being ordered to change their plans or face being eliminated, International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Jacques Rogge has claimed.

June 23 - Annecy's chief executive Edgar Grospiron (pictured) today began the big task of trying to resuce their faltering bid to stage the 2018 Winter Olympics and Paralympics after the International Olympic Committee (IOC) warned them that they needed to review their sports plan concept.

June 22 - Annecy, Munich and Pyeongchang were today all put through to the next stage of the process to host the 2018 Winter Olympics and Paralympics but the French city must make major changes to remain in the race after its plans were heavily criticised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
