Haffield hoping to lead Wales to glory in Delhi

June 25 - With exactly 100 days to go before the Commonwealth Games kick off in New Delhi, Neath-born swimmer and Beijing 2008 Olympian Tom Haffield (pictured) claimed he has his sights set on a gold medal as Wales declared that they are on track with their preparations for the Games.



Ayton back on the victory podium in new event

June 23 -Sarah Ayton, double Olympic champion in the now discontinued Yngling class, earned her first World Cup victory in the class she plans to compete in at the London 2012 Games when she won the Kiel event in Germany, partnered in the 470 event by Saskia Clark.

June 20 - Indian officials claim they still expect triple Olympic and world champion Usain Bolt to compete at this year's Commonwealth Games in New Delhi even though the Jamaican's coach has revealed the event never figured on his schedule for 2010 and his agent insisted that he will not change his mind.
