As has been the tradition for the past four years, Team Belgium is holding its traditional Autumn Olympic Training Camp. It's 17 days of intensive training at the Gloria Sports Arena in Belek, Turkey, this time with an eye on Paris 2024.

The decision was taken by the Board of the European Olympic Academies (EOA) at the EOA Congress in Vilnius, Lithuania. The event, organised by the Lithuanian Olympic Academy (LOA), was attended by delegates from 22 European Olympic Academies, as well as representatives from the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the International Olympic Academy (IOA) and the European Olympic Committees (EOC).

The details of the Paris 2024 Olympic Torch Relay, which will take place in Greece from 16 to 26 April next year, were presented by the Hellenic Olympic Committee at an event held at its headquarters. 

The Mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, stated on Wednesday, November 22, that "we will not be ready" for public transport in the capital during the 2024 Olympic Games", citing insufficient numbers and frequency of trains in certain areas. Interviewed on the Quotidien show, the Mayor of Paris mentioned "two things on which the capital o France will not be ready," namely "transport" and "shelter for the homeless."

Some 400,000 tickets for the Paris 2024 Olympics will go on sale in the last week of November, organisers announced on November 22.

The UN General Assembly overwhelmingly approved on Tuesday (118 votes in favor and none against) the call for an Olympic truce for the Paris 2024 Games, but Russia and Syria abstained in protest over Russia's recent exclusion from the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

The city of Stockholm said on Tuesday that it supported Sweden's bid to host the 2030 Winter Olympics, with the capital and its surrounding areas tipped to host some of the main events.

Russia has never positioned the Friendship Games as an alternative to other competitions, Russian Sports Minister Oleg Matytsin said. On June 22, IOC head Thomas Bach said that Russia was trying to organize "politicized sports competitions."

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) is concerned over the 2024 Friendship Games taking place in Russia, WADA Director General Olivier Niggli said during the Foundation Board meeting. "Russia has the intention of potentially organizing a multi-sports event in 2024 that is called the Friendship Games", Niggli said. "This seems to be completely organized outside the framework of sport, to the extent that even the chairman or the president of the organizing committee would be the president of a federation that just lost its recognition from the sports movement".

This week, the World Anti-Doping Agency’s (WADA’s) Executive Committee (ExCo) and Foundation Board (Board) met in Montreal, Canada, on 16 and 17 November 2023, respectively. The ExCo followed the recommendations from the CRC to allege three National Anti-Doping Organizations (NADOs) and one Major Event Organization (MEO) as non-compliant with the World Anti-Doping Code (Code) and added two other NADOs to the ‘watchlist’. The three NADOs that the ExCo decided to allege as non-compliant with the Code are: Venezuela, Nigeria and Tunisia.
