Boxing legend Mike Tyson and YouTuber Jake Paul will face each other on 15 November in Dallas, Texas, USA, in a professional boxing match that has been postponed due to the former heavyweight king's injury and has rules that favour him.

With less than three months to go until the Tyson-Paul fight, Iron Mike's recovery appears to be going better than expected and, barring any further setbacks, fans of the great boxer from the late 80s and early 90s will be treated to one of the fights that surely will go down in professional boxing history.

It will be a packed stadium  for Tyson's return to boxing in his home country, where Paul will be eagerly awaiting to try and defeat him and claim the glory, as well as the substantial purse, he will earn by stepping into the ring at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Last May, the rules for the Tyson-Paul fight were announced and Mike finally got his way, with the professional boxing match sanctioned by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

It will be a heavyweight bout, Tyson's weight class, although Paul is a cruiserweight, with eight rounds of two minutes each, a shorter time than is usually used in professional fights, which will also favour the veteran boxer in terms of his physical recovery between rounds.

The format was designed to even out the age and fitness gap between the opponents, but is it fair in terms of the sport? Boxing is often not about fairness, it's about putting on a great show and making big money at big events like this.

A great show is guaranteed with a Tyson who has lost the stamina he had in his prime but still has the iron fist to knock Paul out at any moment. What he has lost the least is his hand speed, judging by the training videos uploaded to social media.

The fight was originally scheduled for July 20, but was postponed after former heavyweight champion Tyson, 58, suffered a recurrence of an ulcer that forced him to take some time off.

"Iron Mike, who has a record of 50-6 with 44 knockouts, was one of the most feared heavyweights in history, although he hasn't fought a professional fight since 2005, although he has taken part in some exhibitions.

At the press conference held in New York ahead of the Mike Tyson-Jake Paul fight on Friday 15th November in Arlington, Texas, an event that will be broadcast on the Netflix platform, making it the first of its kind for the entertainment and streaming giant.

When asked about his return to the professional ring after nearly two decades, Tyson's answer was clear: "Because I can. Who else can do it but me? We got a YouTuber fighting the greatest boxer that ever lived."

"As soon as I catch this guy, it's over. He's going to run. He'll run like a thief," declared a confident Tyson.

Paul, who was booed and heckled by the crowd, said: "I'm here to make $40 million and knock out a legend. I love Mike and I respect him, but we're not friends anymore until November 15th."

YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul, 27, is 31 years younger than Tyson and has a boxing record of 10-1.

As well as being shown worldwide on Netflix, 80,000 people will be able to watch the fight live at Texas Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys (American football).
